SLAM has expanded its foul weather line of clothing by releasing the New Force 3 Foul Weather Jackets and Long Johns. Their design objective was to come up with durable pieces of foul weather gear, at a reasonable price. The SLAM Force 3 is the next in the Force Series of foul weather gear by SLAM. Earlier this year SLAM released the Force 2, a lightweight foul weather jacket and long johns, perfect for Inter-coastal sailing.
The SLAM Force 3 is made with a heavier dual layer waterproof material that offers up to 50% more waterproofing without sacrificing breathability yet is still lightweight. The SLAM Force 3 Jacket offers a wider storm collar, Micro-fleece lined pockets for added hand warmth and is 3 inches longer in the back with a heavy Nylon reinforcement backing for added durability. Safety features include large reflective SLAM patches on the shoulders and cuff, emergency whistle in right hand pocket, a large yellow Reflective hood, and safety tabs on the zipper to attach a beacon or knife.
The SLAM Force 3 Long Johns offers a large chest pocket that is Micro-fleece lined, and has large heavy duty protective fabric covering both the knee and the seating area.
